Coulbaugh Mohave Turquoise Cabochon

This material is made by Colbaugh Processing in Kingman Az.  the Compress and heat stone chips together with resin to produce this material.  The purple part is dyed turquoise.

The cabochon measures 24 x 15 x 6.7 mm.  It has a girdle height approx. 2.8 mm and is sloped at 5 degrees for ease in setting.  The back is also polished.
